OPPO A54- First Impressions, Specifications and Every Thing You Want To Know

The brand new OPPO A54 comes with a box that contains one unit of OPPO A54 smartphone, 1 unit of 18W Fast Charger, 1 unit of charging the cable which is USB Type-C, 1 unit of the transparent back case, 1 unit of SIM tray ejecting tool, 1 unit of the user manual, and 1 unit of start-up guide.

 

Physical Look, Ports, and Buttons-

OPPO A54 looks quite premium according to its price range. It weighs around 192g (without any sort of back case). It is around 8.4mm thick. The back is made up of poly-carbonate (plastic). The in-Hand feel of this phone is excellent and it also looks premium. At the right side of the device, you will get a power lock/unlock button which also plays the second role of finger-print scanner. At the bottom of the device, you will get a speaker grill, 3.5mm jack headphone jack, Primary micro-phone, and USB Type-C port for charging your device. On the left side of the phone, you will get the volume up and down buttons and a SIM tray slot which also has a dedicated micro SD-card slot therefore you can use two SIMs and one SD-card together. At the top side of the device, you will get a secondary microphone or noise cancellation microphone.

 

Display and Operating System-

This phone has got decent size display of 6.51 inches HD+ IPS LCD Display. The peak brightness of the device is 480 nits which are lower than average for this price range. The quality of this display is quite average. It is average bright and it will give you a decent experience while watching any type of content. It has got a regular refresh rate of 60Hz. It has got a tiny punch-hole at the top left corner of the device.

It comes with COLOR OS 7.2 which is based on ANDROID 10. Color OS is quite clean and easy to use User Interface. But this device has got plenty of pre-installed applications. However, some of them can be deleted by the user.

 

Processor and connectivity-

It comes with very less powerful and old processor MediaTek Helio P35. It is based on 12nm technology and gives you an AnTuTu score of around 86,352 which is comparatively low if we check out other phones of this price range. This processor gives you good performance for your daily task such as calling, messaging, swipes/touches, and watching any content. It gives you below than average performance while gaming. You can play heavy games such as Call of Duty Mobile, FORTNITE, PUBG Mobile, and Free Fire but on low graphics.

This phone doesn’t support 5G. It supports Wi-Fi calling, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, and Dual 4G VoLTE.

Battery and Charging

It comes with a 5000mAh battery. It can last up to 2 days in normal usage and in heavy usage, it can last up to 1 day. It comes with an 18W fast charger which charges the whole 5000mAh battery in less than 2 hours.  

 

Camera and Features of Camera App-

After looks Camera is the second highlight of this device. The brand new OPPO A54 comes with a Triple Camera Set-Up with 13MP Primary Lens. For macro shots, it has got a 2MP Macro Lens, and it also has 2MP of Bokeh Sensor. For your beautiful selfies, it has got a front camera of 16MP. This camera takes average pictures and the rear camera is capable of shooting videos up to 1080p at 30fps and slow-motion video up to 720p at 90fps and the front camera is also capable of shooting videos up to 1080p at 30fps.

This device has a decent camera set-up which combines with the feature-rich camera app which together gives you a good experience and better usage of that Camera. It has got Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Macro, Stickers, SLO-MO, Time-Lapse Mode, and Expert (Pro) Mode.

 

Storage Type and Variants, Security, Colours, and Price -

This device comes with the RAM Type of LPDDR4X and ROM type of eMMC 5.1. It has three storage variants i.e., 4GB RAM 64GB ROM, 4GB RAM 128GB ROM and 6GB RAM 128GB ROM.

For your Biometrical Security, it has got Side-Mounted Finger-Print Scanner is accurate and very fast and it has also got a face unlock feature which is quite accurate and fast.

It comes with brand new, unique, and three beautiful Colours which are Moonlight Gold, Starry Blue, and Crystal Black.

These devices are slightly overpriced. The price of OPPO A54 starts from INR 13,490 for 4GB RAM and 64GBGB ROM variant, 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant is priced at INR 13,499 and it goes up to INR 15,990 for 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant.

    

My Personal Review-

These devices look very premium and attractive. The camera of this device is near to decent. But there are some cons which are; according to price range processor of this device is quite less powerful. The user of this device is not getting ANDROID 11 whereas OPPO gives COLOR OS 7.2 and ANDROID 11 starts from COLOR OS 11. It might take 1 year or maybe 1 year and 6 months for a user to get ANDROID 11. This device does not justify its price. If you are a person who required a device for its looks and decent camera you should definitely look after it.
